Ladurée is a French luxury bakery, sweets maker house, candy shop and tea room. It is one of the top premier sellers of the double-decker macaron, fifteen thousand of which are sold every day. They are still one of the best known makers of macarons in the world.
Fame to the house Ladurée, came in 1930, when the grandson of Louis-Ernest Pierre Desfontaines thought up glue together two cookies together by means of the filling. And so it appeared a new kind of macarons, which is now called Gerbet, or Parisian macarons.
Desfontaines also opened a tea room. Dazzled by this success FrensisHolder, who was the founder HolderGroup and his son David decided to buy Laduree in 1993. They have expanded and opened a restaurant Ladurée and tea room on the famous Champs Elysees in 1997.
Entering the global market Ladurée started in 2005 with London. Now Ladurée shops there are in Monaco, Switzerland, Japan, Italy, NYC, Lebanon, Turkey, UAE, Antwerp, Luxembourg, Ireland and Kuwait.
Ladurée house has excellent tradition: every year confectioners invent new flavor macaron and replenish the color palette. The price for them is quite high, but it's worth it.
Before getting on the shelves macarons waiting 48 hours, by the time they reach the desired state. Flavors and their combinations huge amount, so that everyone can choose macarons to your taste. Macarons so went into the French life, that in 2003 in the town Montmorillon opened a museum of Almond and Macarons, where disclosed all or almost all the secrets of this almond cake.
Besides macarons, Ladurée house known for its chocolate and pastries and cakes that are not only tasty, but also attractive in appearance. Each year, confectionary house invites designers to create new pastries and cakes. According to tradition, every year at Christmas, pastry house Ladurée also produces a "Christmas log".
Great importance confectionary house Ladurée gives design. A large variety of gift boxes of all sizes and with the content for every taste can be found in their boutiques. Each box is like a small masterpiece. They may be, as has been filled and contain a valuable set of delicacies and assembled according to your tastes and preferences.
In Ladurée you can not only buy cakes and desserts "takeaway", but also have breakfast and lunch. But I think that the cakes they pan out better than meat and salads. Table have to wait long enough, as in the future, and the order itself. As the popularity of this cafe is quite high and tourists, for the most part, first of all go exactly there.
Locals prefer to look on the run, buy favorite dessert - a croissant, a small box of macarons or a delicious cake for afternoon tea, and run on about their business.
They also released a collection of candles with smells of their sweets, tea, books about sweet and salty, and a collection of cosmetics "Les merveilleuses", of course, cosmetics is very expensive, but so beautiful that it is impossible to describe.
This book is more of a piece of art or a beautiful jewel rather than a book I would want to have on my kitchen. This book is not for beginners and is well suited for those with some pastry experience or who possess patience as pastry is very specific.
Les Merveilleuses de Laduree was inspired by the Merveilleuses of 18th Century France, who were known for their extravagant, decadent behavior and fashion styles inspired by the ancient Greek and Romans. Laduree developed a makeup line that combined beauty with quality. The line places a great emphasis on blushes with three different formulas, as during the age of the Merveilleuses, blushing the cheeks was the main means of playing up one's feminine allure. The look of Les Merveilleuses is one of the refined elegance, with the rouged cheeks balanced with lighter shades for the eyes and lips.
Ladurée is a small world of perfection, where everyone will feel like a princess or a prince .... it is so beautiful. All they do is perfect. Even cars which deliver sweets, perfect. I dont know how to describe my admiration.
