Candace Bushnell the writer, who wrote a series of novels "Sex and the City" the main character of which is Carrie Bradshaw, Candice wrote about her two novels, one of them is "The Carrie Diaries".
The book tells the story of Carrie, she's 16 years old and she is a typical teenager. She dreams become a writer and live in New York. In the school came a new guy, handsome Sebastian, with whom she falls in love, but in her way Donna LaDonna, the most popular girl of the school. Soon Sebastian and Carrie begin dating. Carrie have a company of friends : Maggie - best friend Carrie dating Walt, Mouse - a friend, the smartest in school, dreams enroll in Yale and Lali - at first friend, and then the enemy. Carrie have two younger sisters: Missy and Dorrit - rebel. They mother died, so Carrie wanted to replace her. Carrie still is engaged in swimming, together with Lali. Lali always wanted to recapture Sebastian Carrie and at the end of the book Lali, acted very mean, began to dating with him, hiding it, Carrie it amazed to the core. Walt was gay. And Carrie befriended with her worst enemy Donna, and then moved to New York.
This is a very simple book, but it is very truthful, it is about the real life of teenagers, all as it really is. I like it, read in one breath. But the end is not predictabletherefore interesting. I think every girl will be interested in this book
